On an earlier topic, Cathy accused me of being a "G&T/Calendario Romano-loving effeminate (and possibly homosexual)" with "a humourless chip" on my shoulder. All of which is disgraceful as I'd much rather have a scotch and ginger. However, thanks, Cathy, for reminding us that this is the time of year when the new Calendario Romano goes on sale. Of course, accusations continue that these guys are not really priests but models. But those of us who are humourless really don't care.

Where do they get these unbelievable guys? And anyone who wears a dog collar that high deserves all the abuse that comes their way. :)
The Gondoliers' calendar advertised on the same website on the surface looks far more interesting for those who are into G&T (I always thought this could also mean "Gay and Tanned") images, but alas there's no link to it.
Sursum corda, Fra, don't let this get you down. It is bringing out your less redeemed side - and we must not let the Thomperson be holier than thou!!!!!!!!!! Get yourself back to the reformed liturgy.
After all, as Papa said cheeringly on the way to Paris, "The Motu Proprio is merely an act of tolerance, with a pastoral aim, for those people who were brought up with this liturgy, who love it, are familiar with it and want to live with this liturgy. They form a small group, because this presupposes a schooling in Latin, a training in a certain culture. Yet for these people, to have the love and tolerance to let them live with this liturgy seems to me a normal requirement of the faith and pastoral concern of any Bishop of our Church. There is no opposition between the liturgy renewed by the Second Vatican Council and this liturgy....... and it is clear that the renewed liturgy is the ordinary liturgy of our time."
Isn't that refreshing! You leave the Thomperson to his arsenic and old lace..............
