A rose by another other Dame...

The Dame has now launched an appeal to buy new rose vestments for Fr Tim Finigan following The Tablet's recent "defamatory" comments about the Blackfen priest.

Apparently, poor Fr F hasn't a maniple to bless himself with and so the Dame has launched an appeal – bank account number and sort code given – on the Telegraph website to buy him a new outfit.

Rose vestments – modelled (right) for St Bede's Studio – are worn on two Sundays a year: the third of Advent and the fourth of Lent.

I must admit, if I was the Telegraph's proprietor I'd be worried about such a plug: still, I'm sure they'll get the cash back through appeals to help the many bishops rubbished by the Catholic Herald.

I couldn't help noticing the limp-wristed nature of the model for St Bede's vestments. I wonder if there is a connection between those who like this sort of thing and the aforementioned characteristic?

On page 4 of the Dame's (yes, he's one of them too) blog, a correspondent points to no less than three breaches of Canon Law perpetrated by the opinionated Fr Finigan. This has so far been ignored by Dame T's screaming coterie. They have no answer to it, in fact. Hmm.

What surprises me is that this man (Fr F) is allowed to teach in a seminary, when his actions and writings are so very divisive rather than unitive.

Because, as we all know, there's never been a defamatory mark cross the Dame's lips.
